Some of these won’t exactly be what you are used to eating, but they will help your body rid its self of toxins caused by the chemotherapy drugs, booster your immune system and give you more energy. Chinese Kiwi, along with Greens from the Mustard Family (A large family of herbs, the Cruciferae (Brassicaceae), characterized by pungent juice and four-petaled flowers arranged in a cross and including important vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, radishes, and watercress.), will help negate the DNA damaging side effects of the Chemotherapy drugs. The article below has more of the science involved.

Herbal Remedies for Nausea
Herbs – There are plenty of natural remedies for nausea. One such effective remedy is ginger, which can be taken in the form of tea or capsule. Ginger has volatile oils that aid digestion, soothes the irritated linings, and tones muscles of digestive tract. Ginger also stimulates liver to produce bile which helps in fat digestion. To overcome motion sickness, the first dose of ginger should be taken about three to four hours before travel.
Peppermint tea or oil helps in easing spasms of digestive tract, and could be beneficial for nausea that occurs due to intestinal cramping. However, peppermint tea is a better choice for nausea during pregnancy, rather than peppermint oil, as the latter has a more powerful effect.
Golden seal is another remedy for nausea, if it is not caused due to pregnancy. It can be taken in the form of tea or pill, and the herb soothes liver and stomach, apart from enhancing digestion.
Aloe Vera juice helps in combating the stomach ache that accompanies nausea. One tablespoon of the juice can be diluted in six ounces of water and given once a day.
Chamomile tea also helps. One dose can be given with or in between the meals twice a day.
Ginger tea is also beneficial for stomachache, nausea and vomiting. Finally drink as much fluids as possible to prevent dehydration, but avoid caffeinated beverages.

Pumpkin and Winter Squash
Breast Cancer: Charcoal the cap and grind to powder. Take 1 tsp of the powder in 1 shot of rice wine 2 times daily. The alcohol is a useful agent for increasing circulation and removing stagnancy. Tumors are considered to be some type of stagnant Blood, Chi, or Mucus.
Seaweed
Actions—softens hardenings, clears heat, detoxifies, benefits the thyroid gland, neutralizes radioactive material, benefits the lymphatic system, promotes diuresis, provides many minerals
Conditions—swollen lymph glands, goiters, cough, lung abscess with thick, yellow, odoriferous mucus, edema, beriberi, fibroid tumors, cystic breasts, nodules, lumps, cancer, low thyroid
Remedies—here are many varieties of seaweed that can be easily incorporated into soups, stir fry dishes, etc. A delicious and healthful appetizer can be made with soaked hiziki or arame (looks like thin black noodles), a little soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. The variety of seaweed that would be the best used is Nori.
Summary:
According to Chinese Medicine, cancer is an abnormal growth of tissue that results from some sort of stagnation of Chi (Qi), Blood, Mucus, or Body fluids. The stagnation can be caused by some external irritant such as cigarette smoke or chemicalized foods and strong emotions. When the body is irritated over a long period of time, it reacts to the irritant by growing to protect itself. However, at a certain point the cell growth becomes abnormal and uncontrollable and cancer cells result. Strong emotions lead to Chi stagnation which in turn can lead to stagnation of Blood, mucus or body fluids.
The Western approach to cancer is to kill the cancer cells with harsh chemicals, radiation, or surgery. However, these methods also harm the healthy cells. The Chinese approach to cancer is to support the body so that it can combat the cancer cells its self. The cancer is considered to be a toxin in the body, thus a detoxifying diet is also utilized. I have already discussed some of these recommendations above, but here is a general outline that might be easier for quick reference.
Recommendations:
Omega 3 and 6, Seaweed, shitake mushrooms, figs, beets, beet tops, papayas, mung beans, licorice (You can buy this at health food stores, it is a twig from a plant. It comes ground. Not the red chewy licorice that is candy), sea cucumbers, carrots, garlic, walnuts, litchi fruits, mulberries, asparagus, pumpkins, burdock, dandelion greens, white fungus, taro roots, pearl barley, grains, plenty of fresh and organic fruits and vegetables.
Remedies:
- Boil together mung beans, pearl barley, azuki beans, and figs. This makes a delicious dessert that will aid appetite and sustain the energy level.
- Make tea from dandelion, burdock, and chrysanthemum flowers; you many also add beat tops or carrot tops. Drink this as the regular beverage every day.
- Always wash commercially grown fruits and vegetables in salt water to neutralize the chemicals.
- Take garlic and seaweed, slightly stir fried in water.
- Drink carrot and celery juice.
- Make blender juice from a mixture of fresh vegetables and take WARM.
Avoid:
Meat. If you can’t handle a vegetarian diet, fresh caught (not farmed) fish, and dark turkey that is free of antibiotics, nitrates (sodium nitrate), and growth hormones especially (these are proven to aid in the production of cancer cells and the growth of tumors); avoid chicken, coffee, cinnamon, anise, pepper, dairy products, hot spicy/pungent food, high fat foods, cooked oils, chemical additives, moldy foods, second hand smoke (and smoking), constipation (take aloe vera gel for this, or hemp seed oil), and avoid all emotional stress and irritations as much as possible.
